What size rims can I run?

I have a 73 3/4 ton chevy and was wondering if I have to run 16.5" rims or can I run 16" rims. My truck is a 8 lug. I have some worn 15/35x16.5 TSL Super Swampers on my truck now and want to know my options. My truck has 6"supension lift and 3" body.

You can run either rim, doesn't matter. Factory on those trucks were both 16 and 16.5. 16" are more pricey for some stupid reason, and aren't too many big tires out just yet for 16s, so stay with 16.5 for more tire options.

Its just when you go down to 15" that you run into problems with clearance on some calipers.....

Unless you have a Dana 60 in the front a 15" wheel will fit. 16.5s suck because of the rim design and 16s are still pricey in the severe oversize offroad tire market.
