Spring compatible question?

My truck is sitting a little low in the rear, do to some new 6 inch springs up front, and a big A$$ block in the rear.

I found a guy that has a mid nineties 2wd 3/4 ton springs he wants to trade for some 1/2 ton springs. He said the previous owner added the springs and it raised the truck up about 3 inches in the rear.I think it is a 1/2 ton 2wd silverado with rear 3/4 ton springs.

So my question is are the springs interchangable?
Will I gain any lift over my saggy springs?

Btw my truck is listed in my sig

Re: Spring compatible question?

The 88-up trucks have longer springs than the pre-87s, 63" compared to 52" I believe. You could add a couple leaves, that will stiffen it some, and give you some lift. To use the other springs, you would have to relocate the hangers. But without doing that, then no, they won't work.

Re: Spring compatible question?

Hey thanks

Too bad they wont work.

thanks again
