Speedo recalibration???

I just finished installing my lift this weekend and just got my tires and wheels on today. So now my sppedometer is off somewhat. How do I fix this?

Also 35s and 3.42s suck

Would changing the gears help??like 4.56???

I know when I put the 4.10s in my Trans Am it jacked my speedo all up, going from 2.29 to 4.10s

thanks in advance

Re: Speedo recalibration???

The speedos on our trucks are run of a gear on the inside of the Transfer case, when Sparty put 35s on his truck he went to 4.10s and the gearing and speedo are within 1% of normal i dont remember what formula he used though, you might wanna PM him

Re: Speedo recalibration???

Some transmission shops also have that information. They will usually have the exact gear you need too.

Re: Speedo recalibration???

NO ONE and i repeat NO ONE around here (in the state of MI) does recalibrations anymore.

you have to take your original tire size and gear ratio and then match the numbers as close to stock with the ring gear after you decide on the tire size.

for me going from 235's and 3.42's to 35"s and 4.10's was within 1% of stock.
