I didn't get any shots of actually bending the tube, but hee are some of the mock up in the truck and the progeress as the days went on.

the fencing pipe was used just to hold the two sides together, it is not part of the final design.

It still isn't finished yet.The two center points haven't been attatched to the body yet and the corners are going to be gusseted with 3/16" steel plate. Just have to get more free time to finish. Then comes the weld in frame repair kit, a new muffler(on the way) and mounting the fuel tank propperly. All this should be done next weekend, i hope. More pics when i get them.

Dude get that thing done already

I like it so far, but I see alot more diagnols in your future. That truck weighs a ton, like my truck, and needs a ton of support if you go on your roof.

Heres the cage for my truck:

Damn jason.

Guess you don't have to worry at all in that cage. Screw duck and cover if theres an earthquake, go sit in your truck

Are you counting on your wife as the design team or who is the brains behind the fabbing? Looks real good thus far!
Paint that baby red and get rolling.....did you decide for sure on the rear bumper yet ?

That roll cage looks pretty cool. I was going to put in a roll bar in my Blazer. What diameter and thickness of pipe did you use?

Re: Got some pictures for ya(roll cage install)

I would guess by looking that it's 2" .120" wall. And please, not pipe, it's tubing!

Re: Got some pictures for ya(roll cage install)

Most likely going to have my wife sew up a soft top for it in the future. I wasn't planning on painting it sincei t is just going to get scratched up some more. I have been told paiting it would make it look better, but who wants it to look better? It is unsecure enough as is and if it looked good someone else might actually want the thing.

going to make a cage for it and drop it between the frame rails a little farther back than where it is now. Just before the rise in the frame.
