My TH350 has been eaten!!...I think

I installed a 454bb in my Jeep CJ5. I used a TH350 transmision, but it has started making some form of rattling noice, when I start to drive. There is no noice, if I start veeeery slowly, but if I use just a little throttle, the 'case will say that awful noice. Any ideas to what my problem here is?

noise is spelled with an 's'. how sure are you that it's the tranny? try putting the truck in neutral and revving a little to see if you can produce the noise again. if it still makes the noise i would suspect a pilot bearing.

he has a th350 so I definatly wouldnt suspect a pilot bearing

Your description is kinda vague but killabeez is on the right track, you need to narrow things down a bit. Find out were its coming from first. Is it a ujoint or in your transfer case or any place else? Why do you suspect the trany? Be more specific with the circumstances of the noise. Will it do it in reverse...while moving but the tranny in N in 4x4 or 2wd ect.
