ANyone ever come up with a way to convert one of those 100 dollar hydrolic pipe benders to a tube bender?

The dies would have to be ground to the correct size, then you'd have to devise a way to keep it from crushing.
It would be far cheaper to just buy a decent tube bender than buy all the equipment to re-size the dies.

I've got a JD2 Bender, love it!!!!

Ask around speed shops, they'll know who has one that'll do your bending cheap. Muffler benders crush.

Yes. It ain't pretty, but it works for a max of 50-60 degree bends. You can do a 90, but you have to do 2 45s at least 6" apart. It's not a JD2, nor will it ever be, but it does work.
