8 lug 14b axles pleaser measure if you have 10.5\"

can you measuer your spring pad widths, on the full floater version.

theres alot of you with 14 sf rear axles so dont be confused.

if its possible could you meser center to center on spring pads, on say 85 and older axles. Im lookn to find something 57"s wide. not 41 3/4"

thankx in advance.

Evan

Re: 8 lug 14b axles pleaser measure if you have 10.5\"

42.75" = 78 chevy 14 bolt on willys

47" = 96 chevy 14 bolt on truck

I'm assuming you meant 47 not 57, since 57 would be hella wide

And you will need an 88 up 14 bolt for your truck.

The 14FF out of my 77C20 is identical in shock mount and spring perch locations to my 10 bolt. The only difference is that the WMS to WMS is 1.5" wider on the 14FF. I don't remember the measurements.

Re: 8 lug 14b axles pleaser measure if you have 10

I was hopn to get around havn to find a newer 14b axle 88 and newer, wouldnt mind moveing spring pads..

I want to do disc brakes and its easiest on the 88 and older, actualy 85 and older I think is when they changed things around, hmmmmmm maybe d80 is the way to go.

I freakn cant stand the huge drums on the 14ff axle and Ive wanted disc brakes in the back forever,

Ive got a 14ff out of an 83 if anyone wants it. its complete drim to drum, all brake lines still atached along with the e-brake junk. along with coooooool chrome cover.

If you cut the tubes off and take the gears out and just ship me the bare center section I'll take it for free

88 and newer have a ribbed housing which is stronger than the past wones plus it cools a little better and helps slider over things. Also, as far as discs, it's just as easy as the older ones if you buy the old style hubs, just find a set on ebay.

Evan,

Ok, still interested, what is the gear ratio in this thing? If it is what I need my possiblity of getting it just increased enormously.

If I take a trip East and come get it, do I get it for free?
