\'76 Blazer temp gauge wiring.

And for a bonus question for my trilogy of terror...

The Chevy 400 in my '76 Blazer has two sending units, one in each of the heads. IIRC, the one for the temperature gauge is on the passenger side towards the rear. It's not hooked up. The one on the driver's side is, but I'm having a mental block trying to remember what it's for.

The problem is the temp gauge in my Blazer is psycho... and I first need to determine if its just not hooked up or if it is shorting out on something.

Where does the _other_ end of the temperature gauge wiring
go into the wiring harness? I can't find it.

Thanks... got lots of work to do. ;-)

Re: \'76 Blazer temp gauge wiring.

The driver's side one is the one that's supposed to be hooked up to your gauge. It works off ground so if the wire is touching ground the gauge will peg to a million degrees. It enters the harness down by the oil pressure switch (if it has an electric choke) down by the oil filter. It then enters the engine harness and wanders around to the main harness and into the cab.
