Re: steering damper?

I know mine was bad (or not installed) because of the extreme amount of DW when applying the brakes. Installed it and tons tons better

Re: steering damper?

DW= Death Wobble. Do a search on ck5 for it and you'll find tons of info. Basically the front start shimmying all over the road.

Re: steering damper?

one of those has crapped out on one of our work trucks, i hit a normal bump (planty of them around here) and the front end started shaking vilantly, to the point where i couldn't see anything but a big blure till i got it down to arond 15 mph. then my boss says "oh yeah, it does that", wtf??? and my head hurt for the rest of the day. i think it was worn out.

Re: steering damper?

Hey if you would consider, I have a near new Rancho RS5000 dampener that was on my bro's 78 3/4 Ton, the previous owner bought it, installed it, ran it a few weeks and realized duals were needed for 40x18" Gumbos. PM or Email me if interested.

Re: steering damper?

Don't spend to much money on it if you're gonna be driving into trash cans.
