Re: Pics of new rear bumper

The bumper isn't cheap.

Tire Carrier Bumper with receiver
$620.00

With wrap around armor
$255

Total $875

They do have cheaper bumpers without the carrier and armor for $180 and up.

Quality is awesome.

Re: Pics of new rear bumper

Did you have to get the bumper shipped? That would be another decent bill too.

I didn't have to pay for shipping since it he lives close by but yes, you would have to pay for that if you were out of state.

Hey, umm, Mr. SuperShawn Moderator Sir, they outlawed pictures in the sig

Oh yeah, was going to ask you on Ck5 but forgot...on the drivers side wrap around, how strong is that since it only ties to the bumper with the one lower tube? You would htink it would fold over or just bend into the body...

Trucks still looking great by the way Any news on that doubler install article? Or have you not got that far?

As you can see my truck has changed a bit since your last visit:

Re: Pics of new rear bumper

Hmmm... never got the memo... ... fixed

As far as the wrap wround goes, I've been on few nasty trails with Tim and saw his bumpers take many impacts from rocks and trees (side and bottom) and never once did they give in and cause any body damage. If you think about it, you got the support bar that goes back to the bumper that braces any side impacts and the top bars which provide more support preventing it bending up into the quarter.

Doubler is coming, just had to wait for more funds to get the 4L80 controller.

Thanks Jason!

PS- Your trucks looks SWEET! I can tell you've been putting some major time in it! How's the Willy's coming?

Re: Pics of new rear bumper

Ah, gotcha, I completely forgot about the side bar that ran from the end to the bumper bracket .

Ah, so your going 4l80e huh? Same thing I'm doing in the Willys and I currently have in my truck and I want a Doubler on both... Are you using the Advance Adapters adapter for the 203 to 4l80e?

Re: Pics of new rear bumper

For the 4L80 to 203/205 Doubler, I'm using the short 400/203 adapter with a 1" spacer. I have to modify the 400 adapter just a tad.
