Dammit, I missed it!!! A good deal that is....

Well I posted earlier about a CUCV Truck. Well I called the guy this morning (9:30am) and he said he still had it. It was an 85. It was in Ft. Worth, so 60 miles from me. I decided to go take a look at it. He wanted $1100 for it, so I took my check book. he was not sure if it ran, cause it came to his lot without any belts. I started out called him on the way and he told me he had already sold it. DAMMIT that was a great deal for around here. I would have loved to have the axles, shafts, and tranny for my 80. He said the body was straight so I could have almost gotten my money back selling what I did not use. I sucks cause that is a great deal for around here.

Sorry I just wanted everyone to feel my pain.

I'm glad to know i'm not the only person in the world with luck like that. I answered an add in the paper for a K-5 Blazer (79 model), The guy told me to come out and look at it. I drove 50 miles just to watch his niebor walk over and say he wanted to buy it for less than what I was willing to pay and get it right under my nose!!!!!

To rub it in...
Buddy just got a 79 K5 for $25 and basically needs a motor
And another friend fgot a late 70s K5 for $150 and needs a tranny.

To rub it in even more....
Joe and I have a line on five D60 dually fronts, two unimogs with a possibility of 15 more, and a possibility of up to 6 pairs of cucv axles (d60/ 14ff detroit 4.56)
Yep, hilbilly Wyoming sucks

Dammit!! I need to get to Wyoming. Where in Wyoming do you live, Matt? My brother is in Cheyenne. He works for the local Carquest so if you ever need anything his name is James. Sell me a set of CUCV axle and I'll finally make the trip. I'll tell my brother it is to see him, his wife, my nephew and their new house, BUT we will all know the real reason.

If we can get our hands on them I'll let you know. We do have 2 dually 60s right now for about $800 each but already have a local buyer. There is another salavage yard that has a dually with 4.56 gears even for $900 I think. Oh yeah, there is another yard here that has a crewcab 4x4 with a knocking 454 for $1900 I think.
