minor mods on my 72-pics

Well, i shortened up my 72 11 inches and put a 73 stepside bed on it. i didnt cut the frame just slid everything a head. before:

also welded the rearend and added a super duty rear crossmember and bumper. Crossmember is held in with 8 5/8"grade 8 bolts and 4 1/2 " grade 8 bolts. I is built out of 1/4" plate and 1/4" inch angle

My bumper is made out of 2"x8"x 1/4" channel and willbe held on by 8 5/8" grede 8 bolts and a 15 ton pintle hitch. i am also gonna have to round out the end a little bit i guess.

Wait, how can it be shortened if you didn't cut the frame?
Did you just shorten teh wheelbase?

well i did cut the frame, but it was behind the wheels to bring it to legnth of the box, when i said i didnt cut it i just mean ti didnt cut it and weld it back together behind the cab to shorten the wheelbase. I dont like cutting and welding frames it just seems like a weak spot to me.
