What Size rims can I run?

I have a 73 chevy 3/4 4x4 and want to know what is the smallest size rim is that will fit my truck. I heard that I could run a 16"rim but was also told that the smallest I could go is 16.5" that is what I have on my truck now.

if you dont mind grinding the calipers, you can run 15" inch wheels. It may not sound to safe, but quite a few have done it successfully.
