? Aftermarket HO Headlights for an \'83 ?

Would anyone happen to know if there are replacement headlights for our early 80s single headlight trucks? I'd prefer something in Xenon, or an equivalent. I'm tired of the Wagner Halogens. I've seen aftermarket taillights, clear lenses with red circles, those ricer kind....F'ugly~! WTF were they thinking?

Case in point... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1874127708

Not what I'm after, but I'd like to find some nice headlight replacements.

Have you looked at the Hella H4 replacements? They make a 7" headlight that is a true halogen with a H4 bulb that you can replace... it goes right in place of your original headlights and runs about $35.00 each and the bulbs are about $10 apiece when you have to replace them... very bright in comparison to the OEM crap and very white light...

Duh... I was thinking round headlights... they also make a rectangular one that works for Wranglers and Cherokees... so if its the same light number for your truck as it is for a 87-95 Wrangler then they will work...

Anybody know about Sylavania? I've been waiting for our Mascot to pipe up (him being our resident Grand Master of Electronics), but he must not care about lighting for older trucks... Oh well. I found these, still looking though, any thoughts?:

I was looking at the:

- High & Low beam headlamp -

Upgrade Part Number = X6054
Xenarc High Intensity Discharge Upgrade Kit

They've also got these:

Upgrade Part Number = H6054ST
"Silverstar High Performance Halogen Upgrade - Whitest, Brightest, 100% Street Legal"

Upgrade Part Number = H6054CB
[image]http://www.sylvania.com/auto/carapp/images/coolblue.gif [/image] Cool Blue Halogen Upgrade - White Hot; Super Cool; 100% Street Legal

Upgrade Part Number = H6054XV
XtraVision Halogen Upgrade - Three times brighter & twice the life of standard

I wish they had a page that showed them installed, or a pic of the effectiveness of them, for comaparison. I'd like to know if I need ot upgrade any of the wiring/relays/other-stuff if I go with the Xenarc HID Kit.

4-Wheel & Off-Road's David Kennedy did a peice on some high intensity replacement lights for his 83 K5 back in the summer. Good results, but not cheap.
