Winch mount

Anyone know where I can buy a winch mount for an '83 Jimmy for the stock bumper? I can't seem to find one. Does anyone have any plans drawn up in case I have to make one?

Re: Winch mount

I've seen companys such as Warn make a grill guard that mounts to you bumper that has a winch cradle, might look into something like that.

Re: Winch mount

Here's a pic of the Warn mount that came with my truck. I've got an 8274 in it. Keep in mind this style of mount restricts ALOT of airflow to the radiator. The new warn mounts that are similar to this one keep the winch lower and don't block as much airlow. I see used mounts like this for sale ever once in a while.

Re: Winch mount

I found the exact brushguard for sale used for $50.00. But I don't want to run an 8274 and I think that's the only winch that'll mount up to it. Funny though, I just sold an 8274 last year.

Are you wanting to keep the stock bumper? I have some designs for custom bumpers that the winch is built in to

I don't have to stay with the stock bumper. I'd like to see your designs if you wouldn't mind.
