How to get the interior door panel off an\'83 P/U?

My bro's been trying to get it off to paint it. He can get everything disconnected except for the handle to roll down the window. How do we get that handle off? Thanks for the help.

If he presses the panel in around the handle and look around the plastic bushing he'll see a horseshoe shaped clip. That clip must come off. You can either use a bent screwdriver (around 90) or you can buy a clip removal tool from an automotive parts store. It's nothing more than a stamped-steel tool but works mighty nice. I know the "HELP!" (made by Motor Mite) section usually has one.

yep, you can get a small tool to take it off and it works pretty good too. You could probably also it it with 2 screwdrivers but it would probably take some finess though.
