Re: 71,How much lift?

probably will need about 6". Mostly depends on what size rim they are on and how much you are willing to trim the fenders

Re: 71,How much lift?

A lot of people run 35s on a 4 inch lift. With 8 inch wheels, the front is normally ok, minimal rubbing on the front of the rear wheel wells.

Re: 71,How much lift?

You said it's a C10 - so it's 2WD right?

If so, you would probably need more than 6" of lift to clear 35's

Re: 71,How much lift?

you can run a 35x12.5 with 4" lift but I dunno if you can fir a 35x14.5 tire on with only 4" lift unless you like taking the trip to sawzall land

Re: 71,How much lift?

I got a 7" susp. lift on my '71 with 36"tires & 12" wide rims with no problems, had to drop the TC. 1/2".
I replace the 36" with 35" radials, a lot smoother......PICS are down below, laters.............

Re: 71,How much lift?

Oops, I missed the wide tires. Those wide tires will still rub even with a 6" lift. If he is running 1/2 ton axles, he would be smart to stick with nothing bigger than a 35 X 12.50.
