Several Questions

I have a few questions. First, how much gear oil goes into an SM465? Second, how much ATF goes into an NP208 case? Third and final question, is it possible to attach a Hurst Shifter stick in place of a stock NP208 stick? I don't mean the knob, but the entire stick. I like the look of them and I just wanted to know if it was possible. I took off the boot and whatnot, and didn't see how I could do it but I thought that maybe someone here had an idea. Thanks

Re: Several Questions

i think the 208 takes about 5 quarts, but just fill it up until it runs out of the big fill whole

Re: Several Questions

i belive the 465 takes about 4 liters, and as for your shifter, yes i have seen it done before with NP205 transfercases, not sure about 208's, good luck on that.

Re: Several Questions

You can use the shifter with a little fabricating in the linkage, just use your imagination and a couple of welds and you'll be fine.
