ORU Steering

Anyone here who has done the ORU swap...did you build your own steering or buy their kit? It doesnt seem like it would be too difficult to build, which makes it hard to part with the extra money. THanks for any input.

Re: ORU Steering

Dana 44 or Dana 60? I did a dana 60 and used an Off Road Design steering arm and there drag link and pitman arm. It was only like 300 bucks for all of it which is way cheaper than ORU. Now, if your going with a dana 44 or a ball joint dana 60, you may as well go with the ORU kit since you need a new knuckle or get yours machined and it's just alot more expensive.

Re: ORU Steering

ive got the kit on my 95 with a ball joint 60. I was a little disapointed. the drag link was too short and they didnt angle the steering arm very well. but the parts are good quality and beefy. I needed steering quick so I went with their kit. the only hard part would be finding someone to machine the ball joint knuckle for a steering arm and adapt a steering arm somehow.
