Transmission swapping Q\'s

My 4L60E crapped out with 61,000miles on it. Its in my 95 Gmc K1500, at school they took a 4L80E and t-case out of a burnt 97 1 ton with 35,000 miles on it, How hard would it be to swap a 97 4L80E with T-case into my 95? Im pretty sure ill need driveshaft mods, im okay with that. I more or less want to know what will be needed computer wise. thanks a bunch.

Re: Transmission swapping Q\'s

I know people have done it before, it's not TOO bad, but I know it involves computer stuff, getting it to hook up with the controls and guages for your transmission and t-case, and I beleive some crossmember stuff. Exactly what I can't tell you.
