Please help an idiot out!

So how important is the inner rocker anyway?? I realize it must add strength to the rocker, however it also seems to do a good job of trapping moisture, and rotting the rockers out from the inside. My 86 blazer's rockers are in ok shape, however the inner rockers are basicly gone. So before I spend time on replacing, or fabricating my own inners, just how important are they? Thanks for the help!

Put them back in but leave sizeable drain holes. Don't fill in the back part like GM did, leave that open. This way when you wash your truck you can reach around and hose out the rockers.

Just replace the rockers with square 1/4" wall tubing and never worry about them again, also make great rock sliders

Hey Major Payne
Why not add this to your IOR Products line under rocker protection? Been waiting for your ideas on your site, and this sounds like a good idea. Sounds like more clearance than a frame mounted bar.
Nice new format on your site too!

Yep, they are, I'm working with Evan (shaggy) on different designs for the pre-87 trucks. The first bumper is going into production tonight
