Got a 4" Rough Country all spring lift. I'm gonna take the sway bar out for now and see how the ride is, but I'm planning on gettin the quick dissconnect from ORD down the road thanks to Shaggy for selling me on that one! (i think he's getting some kind of kick-back for his expert advise!)

Re: ETA 4 LIFT=4-6 days

I'm running the same lift on my K5. I installed it about 1 year ago and left the sway bar off. Worked great off-road (would easily rub the 33's into the fenders when flexing) and the on-road manners really werent too bad (or so I thought). I just (as in last weekend) installed a disconnect kit and re-installed the swaybar. I am actually glad that it is back in there. Bump steer is virtually gone, it stops straight under heavy braking (front end used to dive a lot and it would pull the front left or right), overall it feels more solid now than it did before.

One note on that lift kit .. do yourself a favor and get longer brake lines, the little brackets that come with the kit are about useless. Good luck and take lots of pics.

Cool I went ahead and ordered extended brake lines when I ordered the kit..cant wait to get it on. If all goes well(and the kit arrives on time) I'll have all next thursday and friday to work on it.

Re: ETA 4 LIFT=4-6 days

Make sure to post installation pics! I am going with the Rough Country also, the guys over there are great! I changed my mind and am going to get a 2" kit, all spring. I know, I know, 4" is almost the same price, but the Sub was bought to be a family transporter, and I got a lot of guff about the 4" from the wifey. I do agree with her though, the 4" would just make it too hard for the kids to get in and out. Good luck with the install, and keep us posted!

Re: ETA 4 LIFT=4-6 days

Hey Thanks AJM! Coming from you, I'll take that as a compliment! If I ever decide to replace the front fenders, then it will be practically rust free! A friend of mine is union welder, lives here, but has a house in Michigan too..he's been traveling back and forth for about 4-5 years now...and his truck is showing signs of rust. Thats gotta suck.
