spring hanger pics

Here is a pic of the right front rear spring hanger and wher it is now located. It came out to be a little less than 22 inches because of the holes from the saddle tanks. Hopefully i can get a day away from work to get this completed.

And you can see the end of the leaf that clocked me in the forehead, too.

Re: spring hanger pics

It will still be pretty long, considering that it is a crewcab. I am moving the axle forward almost 22 inches, and cutting off the excess behind the rear spring hangers. I had to work today so i didn't get to do anything to it, but i have all tomorrow to try and get the rear completed.

I am not sure how long the wheelbase will be since i don't really know what it is now. If you know it and subtract 21.5 or so you have it.

Re: spring hanger pics

Here is a pic of my frame chopping and shortning stuff. My truck was a shortbox then got rear ended and bent the back of the frame to took a long bed frame and cut and spliced it in.

Re: spring hanger pics

OK, i got the rear end done, and the frame straightened alomost back to where it was before it got tweeked. The rear was moved forward 22 13/16 inches +- 1/16(it was dark when i measured). Here are a couple pics:

I will post more tomorrow or the next day with the rear overhang removed and a better side shot to show how short it is.
