Dana 44 tie rod Q

I was wondering if I could run a straight tie rod with some aftermarket tie rod ends. In stead of the stock tie rod end with the bend in it. I think that the stock tie rod has bends for clearance but I have also seen straight tie rod.

Re: Dana 44 tie rod Q

I know my dana 60 for the willys has a straight one and it clears the diff cover easily. But then my ford dana 60 on the truck has a bend in it. So, I'm assuming both will fit, but it just depends on your cover basically.

Re: Dana 44 tie rod Q

I have never seen a GM with a bent tie rod from the factory.
