Re: RJ, when are you gonna start doing Front Bumpers

One of these days I am going to get off my lazy [censored] and make a front bumper/brushgaurd for my truck.....then depending on how much of a PITA it is I might try to sell some like my idol RJ I really need to gather the motivation since I have all the tools(my pops even has a plasma cutter) I just need to come up with a cool name like rezzybed and doors. Any sujestions......how much of a market is there for bumpers(front and rear) with and with out brushgaurds? Built in recovery points or without. Probably outa 4" or so tubing. How much would most people pay considering shipping would probably be big $$$. Maybe the prospect of makeing some extra cash would probably give me the motivation to start on mine as a guinepig.

I dig Willy's bumper design. At the junk yard last weekend found a warn winch bumper off a ford that I am gonna see if it will fit and pick up for $50

Watch those Warn's. Shawn had one on the K5 and the thing was worthless. He bent it all up and tore it to peices. Just for show. I forget who's bumper he rpelaced it with. Also heard similar comments on the Warn bumpers on CK5.

thanks for the heads up
I'll reconsider that bumper then, I just want something to mount a winch to that wont kill the wallet.

Jeesus, everyoen thinks I'm king fab all of a sudden. I could make youa bumper but I REALLY like having a truck to work off of, so if you REALLY want one I could make you one but I'd need to borrow soemones truck for a few days. See my front frame rails have turned into sharks, so I cant fab anything for them that would fit abnyone elses.

Might wanna ask Bigwishlist too, he's a shy humble guy who thinks hes a loser, but hes a golden god, way cooler than me, ever see his damn front bumper! It's ARB quality!

Re: RJ, when are you gonna start doing Front Bumpers

I am thinking of making a bumper for the older trucks. What are you looking for in a bumper? Im sure I could come up with something. http://tellico.off-road.com/ubbthrea...o=0&fpart= . Here are some pics of the work I do. It was the first bumper I ever did.

Re: RJ, when are you gonna start doing Front Bumpers

What I'm looking for in a bumper is whats circled in red. JUST like you have it there. I dont think I need the brush guard stuff that goes around the lights etc.

This isnt anything that needs to be done soon LOL. I'm just brainstorming ideas and see if anyone here can do it first. Then if Price is right we can work something out.
