np205 input shaft, missing?

im ready to mount my np205 on to the nv4500, bolt pattern seems perfect, the problem is that outpu shaft on the tranny sticks out an 8th if that, then input shaft on t-case is several inches inside, how do i connect them? am i missing a piece? (they both have the round bolt pattern, tranny is a 94, t-case is 81?, they both ARE the round bolt pattern as opposed to the 8 shaped one)

<font color=green>Yep, should be a sleeve in there. Call Stephen at ORD, he should be able to hook you up with what you need.

Re: np205 input shaft, missing?

FYI - if it's a GM version 205 with the round pattern it will have to be an 85 to 91 year model.

Is your t-case input shaft male or female?

Re: np205 input shaft, missing?

sorry about that, was supposed to post this yeasterday but had to help my buddy get his f150 he just bought to build up.

the tranny is a male out with 32 splines (or so i counted), the t case is a female also with 32 splines, im not sure about the years on the two, especially the t case, the chump that i bought it from was half arsing averything, and i was the bigger chump for buing it.

Re: np205 input shaft, missing?

First of, even if the guy you got it from was screwing around, a 32 spline, female input GM 205 is VALUABLE - do let go of it!

Second, what adapter are you using between the tranny and t-case? Is it an Advance Adapters part? I ask this because the 4500/205 combo was never offered by GM so you would need an aftermarket adapter. Also, if it's a GM part, what shape is the tranny side of the adapter?

Re: np205 input shaft, missing?

thats it, im gonna bolt the two together with the shaft part missing just to prove to myself that the two do bolt together, they both thave the round six bolt bolt pattern, and SEEM to bolt right up to each other, ill make pics of both and post them on there for you guys to identyfy, just in case im wrong about what t-case that is.

by the way, anybody know how to make a 205 a twin stick? pics would be perfect, if not ill work with just text. thank ya
