np 205 divorced t-case

Does anyone know what years chevy used the divorced np 205? I'm trying to make my 56 a 4x4, but still retain the 235/4speed. Or did chevy even use one of these units? I found a Ford np 205, but the front shaft was on the wrong side. I'd be grateful for any information, Thanks,Greg

<font color=green>To my knowledge, Chevy never used one. You might be able to find one from a Dodge, they have the drop on the right side.

If you do get a case, I have a baby shaft from the tranny to the case and the matching front shaft. Let me know if you need them.

Not to sound ignorant, but who is BVoyce. I think the t-case I'm looking for comes out of a 70's dodge, as someone mentioned earlier. thanks for the input, Greg

Re: np 205 divorced t-case

I've NEVER seen one in a Chevy (that wasn't put there by the owner). But, I've seen many in 70's Dodges and Internationals. The drop will be on the right, or correct, side.
