ignition hesitation

resently started getting a hesitation when I go to start. (ie. turn the key, about 1/2 to full second later, the motor turns over and starts up.) it doesnt do it everytime i start, and it doesnt ness. have to be when the engine is hot..so.....just what has crossed my mind before i get carried away with pulling parts..maybe transmission gear selector switcha ma thang?, or connection at starter? ignition switch? Anyone else experienced this? it doesnt really bother me, but I dont want a fire due to excessive amp draw etc...any suggestions?

<font color=green>Coule be lots of stuff. A good place to start is to do a tune up. New plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Check all of the wiring too, but it's probably just worn ignition parts.
