Ya, most of the drivetrain I plan to replace. I dont trust the 700R4 behind a diesel. And I think a NP241 would bolt right up. its a bit stronger than the 208. I only bought this truck because it has a EXCELLENT BODY, maybe only 1 dent on it. And the INTERIOR is in excellent shape.

Re: I\'m HAPPY :)

TH700R4's can be built to live behind a diesel. Before you go buying and swapping in a TH400 or TH350, think about spending the cash on a hi-po rebuild of the 700R4. That diesel will give you great gas mileage, but with the non OD tranny it'll be down a good 3-4mpg.

Re: I\'m HAPPY :)

yeah i like my 700R4 if it blows cuz its one of hte "off" years, i think i might get one of those Jet ones, by the adds they look to be bullet proof, my C-10 blew something due to major misuse on my part, i was not ever in anyway easy on that pickup, i and sort of regret it, was fun and all, but it was a good truck even if it was 2wd it was nice
