I can see it now, GM 4.3L V6, OD tranny, Toyota solid axles, about 4-6" of lift and some 35's.

AJM- That's what I'm hoping for not sure how it will eventually work out.

Shaggy- I thought I remembered seing a truck like mine on your site. As a matter of fact:

(compliments of Contagious Offroad)
Sand is the one place that my truck does accel in, being only 3000 lbs. and with wider tires it floats like a ballon.

I know someone who cut the fenders and fit 38.5" TSLs with no body or suspenson lift! It is completely stock, he said he goes through a clutch per year at the bogs but he does it!

wow, 38's on those little axles. Japanese 4x4's are usually over engineered, but I doubt that much.

PV, anything is possible, it's just how far do you want to take it?

Re: gotta love that (L) on that shifter knob

Back to the topic of the post; When I got my truck I was so stoked about that low gear. Seemed so cool to be able to descend steep slopes without any brakes.

Soon enough you'll be thinking of even lower gearing tho!!

Sorry about hijacking the post.

I have a incredibly hard time believeing that someone put 38's on a D50. Not saying that your lying just that it is so hard to believe.
