OK, so a week after a got my '72 a guy who got my number from the dude I bought my truck from called me up and offered me quite a bit more than I paid for the truck. I have never been able to say no to money so I sold it and picked up this '75 this weekend. It's a 3/4 ton, 10C/14FF, 383/TH350 with shift kit, 4 inch lift/ 35's. Not too bad for $3,000. I figure with the money I made on the other I will be able to get a 6 or 8 inch on soon. I broke a valve spring in the 8th cylinder so it'll be down for a week or so but hopefully in a week or so I can get started on it.
A week to change out a valve spring??? Fill the cylinder with air, remove V/C, remove rocker, replace spring, reinstall rocker, re-install V/C, replace plug. Shouldnt take more than an hour (and thats BS'ing with your buddies).
Yea, it's not the time changing the valve spring it is getting time to do it. The truck broke down and it is a friends about 40 miles away and I won't have a chance to get to it until this weekend with work and all.
