Need help with new Hypertech

I just bought the Hypertech Power Programmer III for my 02 4.8L Tahoe (Already have K&N FIPK and 3" CAT back Bullet Exhaust). Everything seems self explanatory...

One question though, in section G. "Shift Point MPH and RPM", it states that "the shift point option allows you to change the RPM at which your transmission shifts at wide-open throttle to find the very best shift points for maximum acceleration". WOW...this sounds pretty cool.

Those of you with a Tahoe know my pain when your getting on the freeway and the Tahoe wants to dump into fourth gear when your only doing 40MPH. This creates a major sluggish "ride" where you have to drop to third to get going fast again.

Anyways, It says that you can change the shift point in 1 MPH increments for each gear transition (1-2, 2-3, 3-4). Does anyone know where I can find data/information that would tell me what increase I should target for with my particular setup? Maybe one of you have tried this before and you have a positive or negative expierence to share?

I understand the obvious which is go as high as you can until you reach the maximum gains; recorded in track times. But I don't want to get into trial and error and track times. Especially since this thing takes 20 minutes each time you make a small change...I WANT A SHORTCUT...J/K...THX
