33\'s on stock lift

When I first came on to this website I was told that you could fit 33 swampers on a stock 84 k5 lift, with a little sawing/sp is this ture. I'm new to the whole 4x4 thing and the more I read about it aka tuff country tire fit guide the less likely I see this happening. Thanks...

<font color=green>33s will fit fine with a bit of trimming. The caveat is that you have to trim in the right places. They will fit if you trim it right. I guarantee it.

Is there a form or something that tells you the right places? This is something I plan on doing around the 1st.

<font color=green>Basically you just knock off the lower corners on the front fender. Put them on, get a wheel stuffed and see where it wants to rub when you turn the wheels back and forth and go to town with the sawzall.

<font color=green>Check out this page - <a target="_blank" href=http://community.webshots.com/album/42769419XeatlI>http://community.webshots.com/album/42769419XeatlI</a>

You wouldn't even need to take off this much, but it gives you an idea. Do a search on webshots for "fender trimming", you'll find lots of stuff.

Re: 33\'s on stock lift

If you were to run a 33x10.50r15 Radial Swamper like mine on a factory rim you probably have even less triming to do because of them being narrower. I have a 2" lift and they fit with a lot of room to spare.
