How Big Are My Nuts?

Ok, I need to pick up lug nuts for the front axle tomorrow morning so I can mount the tires. National Tire sent me the metric ones that fit the rear and the old front stuff. But the dana 60 is standard, not metric. ORU told me when I picked it up but I have forgotten. What size would these be? I remember it being a 16's number, something like 7/16's???

Lol, I knew that heading would get a response. Ok, I'll go around see what I can find. Hope I can find some at pepboys or something that are close to what my rears look like.

Re: How Big Are My Nuts?

Go for some stainless steel lug nuts. I had chrome ones on the Blazer, and my buddy had chrome ones on his Toyota. Damn things squished all up and the chrome was coming off as you turned the lug nuts. Stainless steel is the way to go, not to mention it's just stronger than the crap metal they use on the chromed ones.

Re: How Big Are My Nuts?

The ones I got are chrome but they are hardened grade 8 steel with a liftime guarantee against finish and defects. No wonder they were 15 bucks for 4.

Re: How Big Are My Nuts?

Oh yeah the steel nuts with chrome caps suck. They always crumple.

Re: How Big Are My Nuts?

Yeah they crumple and then you lose some caps. And no sockets fit the nut without the caps on so you say screw you ford. Yeah my Mustang has those chrome caps.
