2wd & 4wd frames

Does anyone know if the frames are the same on an '87 2wd and a 4wd. I am thinking about doing a drive train swap and would like to know what problems I may run into. I know the 2wd has coil spring suspension but does the frame have all the mounting holes for leaf springs for a front axle? If anyone can help, I would appreciate the input.
Thanks, Joe

Re: 2wd & 4wd frames

thay are the same frame except for the 4wd dose not have a front crossmember to make room for the front axel. the 2wd
has a crossmember, but if im not mistaken it is bolted in.
the front leaf springs mounts might not bether.
