ls1 or lt1

just as my luck would have it i have a choice between an ls1 and a lt1, ls has 36k, crashed Z28, lt has 76k, the guy went nuts with his car and it is no longer of use for him.
i heard that parts for lt1 are cheaper and more can be done with it. is that true and which one would you guys (and gals) preffer?
(i am getting all wireing and computer crud with both, don't know the price for lt1 yeat)

<font color=green>LS1 for sure, the prices will come down eventually, it's much lighter due to the aluminum block, and makes more power to boot!
