<font color=green>Looks cool RJ, have you considered investing in a tubing bender so you can bend some angles instead of welding them? I guess you'd have to get some round tubing too though...

Re: Rezzydoors Part 001 - Kind Of Half Done Maybe ?

JPP - Gee thanks you giant walking hard-on! I got bored with the tire carrier for now. Maybe Thursday. NICE SQUARE!? DID I SAY WHEN YOU HAD YOUR SIDE OF FRAME TOGETHER DID I SAY NICE FRIGGIN TRIANGLE YOU PUSILLANIMOUS *****! GAWD! Anywho.......

Shaggs - Thanks for the NICE COMPLIMENT I really APRRECIATE your NICE COMPLIMENT. I'm too poor to afford round tube, and because of this and other reasons, I have come to hate round tube.

Hey does anyone know what a good rod is that has high deposit and smooth arc? What setting should I be welding .125 thick material at? I'm burning through at as little as 75 but my 6013's only work at 90 and above sooooo....

Re: Rezzydoors Part 001 - Kind Of Half Done Maybe ?

I'm so goddamn proud of myself!

I'll get the latch done tomorrow.....

Oh yeah, a single stock door weighs 80 pounds. A single one of my tube doors weighs 35 pounds. Materials cost me 25 per door. It took me 8 hours with a lot of screwing up. So, for $25 and 8 hours of otherwise to be wasted time, I shed 55 pounds off one side of my truck, hooray hooray!

I also got reall really dirty. Like a really dirty thing. A thing so dirty it would make me sing. A cheese yes a cheese is a little too big. So the mice can't eat it and do a jig. Dancing up and down in thecity street. RJ is tired of welder heat.

Anyway.....

Here's how damn cool I look in my truck with tube doors !

Here's a nice view I took when I was getting shot at by bandits

Here's a nice shot of how the width is reduced and there is no glass or door skin to bash up

Typical stock door viewing area, good for none but Superman and Jason Payne when he eats ice cream

New and improved viewing area! With fizzy bubbling action! You can see the rocks now! A cement floor is like a big rock!

Hey RJ, the tube doors look great! Are you planning to keep the factory doors for the winter or are you actually making this a fulltime trail vehicle? I am thinking about building a set of tube doors for my truck but i dont know if the would be street legal here in PA or not. Anywho, the tube door looks good, NOW GO GET THE OTHER ONE DONE! Re: PICTURES - RJ And His Magic Tube Doors !

Ugly trucks are cool but your fenders and such are to shinny to be a true ugly truck.....you need to go eat some trees and change that....I like to sling mud and drive my truck in the winter so magic tube doors would probably suck for me.

Arc tans are cool

If you start burning through alter your arc lenght(pull electrod away from the peice a bit more) and or roll your angle back.
Edit....what diameter of rod? if they are realy thin ones you might switch to a fatter rod....6013's are a good all round rod....why dont it wana go lower amps? whats it doing?

Re: Rezzydoors Part 001 - Kind Of Half Done Maybe ?

Ratlover - Thanks for the tips on wleding, I dunno, I kinda suck. I'm gonna try 7014 and some others.

73k30 - I'll pop the factories back on in winter, but I swear I'm gonna drive around soaked in the rain. Nope, my goal is to get it as far into trail rig and still be legal to drive on the street. Ok, sir, I'll get the other one done.

JPP - Ok, Ok, smartass, were you getting yelled at when you had one single frame rail? Hmmmmmmmmmmm ?

Re: Rezzydoors Part 001 - Kind Of Half Done Maybe ?

RJ, what kind of latch mechanism are you going to use to keep your tube doors from swinging open when you're leaning hard?

Willys, don't you have a tubing bender? Would you be interested in making some round tube versions of those? Don't get offended RJ, I just don't have any square tube on my K5, they would look kinda funny when everything else i.e. roll cage is round tube...

By the way RJ, I'm still interested in your tire carrier... so whenever you get a chance to finish one post some pics...
