700R4 help

My dad told me that if i can get my Scottsdale fixed i can start driving it again. the problem is it wont shift firm. At first i thought i was a vaccum pump. but i have been told that deisels dont have vaccum. is there a silinoid of somesorts that doest hte shifting? other then that, my brakes are just messed up.

Could be the vacuume pump! on the back of the motor were the distributor would be on a gas motor! good luck..

it does have a vacum pump...hmm ok starting to sound like i should just take it to the shop and have it fixed...
would that cause it not to shift firmly

try adjusting the TV cable. It is the cable from pass side of tranny up to the driver side rearish top of motor on the desiels. push the D shapped button the slide the black squar shaped tube toward the back of the truckwhich makes it shift harder. Only go one click at a time though because if not set properly can toast tranny. Or just screw it and get a TH400
