OT: well, maybe only partially (forum FAQ)

Would it be possible for the forums to have a FAQ? It'd make it easier to tell people to refer to a FAQ for some of the more common frequently asked questions. I'd like to think that if people were to see that there is a FAQ that they would look at it for solutions to their questions before they posted. In theory, this would alleviate the same questiosn being asked every month.

For example, it'd be useful to tell people what these RPO codes mean in determining axle ratio:

code ratio
GU2 2.73
GU4 3.08
GU5 3.23
GU6 3.42
GT4 3.73
GT5/GT8 4.10

it's just an idea.

Re: OT: well, maybe only partially (forum FAQ)

Thats a good idea, don't know if it will happen though, because too much stuff would get posted, and it would have to be sorted/organized. Instead, why doesn't someone just add a page like that to their personal website, and when we see it fit, we can suggest things be added. If i maintained a website, i'd voulenteer to do it, but i don't really have one. I know there are other people that are good at web pages out there though.......

Re: OT: well, maybe only partially (forum FAQ)

If someone is so inclined to create a page with information on it that looks relatively good (simple, no baloney eye candy on it) I will host it on my website.

I'm willing to donate a couple GB of bandwidth to it per month. I'm also willing to give up to 50MB of disk space.

CK5 has a post that always stays at the top with links. The links are cool but you don't know what it is until you go to it.

I would like to create a webpage of such a nature but I don't have time to (plus I suck at HTML). In fact, I don't really even have time to be on the forums but it's such a good source of information.

Re: OT: well, maybe only partially (forum FAQ)

If you guys start posting all the FAQ info that you would like to display on the web space that Wrath is willing to provide, I will organize it. Just start replying to this post. I will continually check it and add it to a master list, and sort it.

I can host it and I have dreamweaver. If you guys want to put some stuff on here, just get it together and I can do just a page with all the stuff listed, maybe in catagories or something.
