what size wheels do you run with your swampers

the first swampers i get will probably only be 38" and i will work my way up from there- 44". is it possible to use the same rims? or will i need 16.5" rims for the 38's and larger ones for the 40+? I never really had much experience with different tires. All i know is my 36" bogers, i think i am running a 16" rim.

can i get a tire that will mount on a larger rim?

trying to save money is all, maybe it is just stupid, dunno tho.

You can get a 29" to a 44" swamper on a 16.5" rim. It's the width that counts. For a 44" you need a 12" wide rim, for a 38 you prob. don't want to run anything over a 10". If you do, you will be sorry while your rolling off the bead all day.

What size would I need to run with 33x12.5's?

Re: what size wheels do you run with your swampers

If you run an 8" you will have more bead pressure which will give less chance of it popping off but a 10" will work too without looking funny. Depends on what rim size you are talking about, 15 or 16.5?

16.5" On this truck I have now, the rim size is stock I think, but they are aftermarket al. rims and I dont wanna go out and buy new rims if I dont have to cause they're in really excellent shape.

<font color=green>Not long, trust me on this one...

I have 38x15.5/15s on 10" wide wheels, they look great, I would not go any wider.
