Fender Flares

hey... We just got our '76 Suburban running and while going over some small bumps I hear an evil sound of our front tires catching our fenders.. so they need trimming... thats no problem, but what I'm curious about is I want to get fender flares for it and dont wanna cut away so much fender that the fender flares wont work... I was figurin on just getting Bushwacker Cut Out fender Flares.. whats the story on those? I've never installed any flares before so I dont know what it involves and such.. so, any general info is good

I believe they come with a template to cut out a certain amount of metal and the flares are just pop-riveted on. Check out http://www.bushwacker.com/catalog.html It explains all the styles they have.

Re: Fender Flares

oh hey... The Suburban is lifted 6" and has 36" TSL/SX tires on it...maybe someone has a similar setup and knows if the trimming required for the Cut Out Flares will be enough? If not, is it possible to do a little more trimming with them?
