Aww crap!

As I try to pull my rear end apart, things are looking worse and worse. I'll explain...Plow truck, couple small holes rusted in frame, so I'm burning out the rivets, removing cross members, rear bumer and etc that are in the way. The weak spots with holes are right where the bumper brackets bolt on, so I gotta remove eveything in that general area, so I can weld steel plates in. Now my rear shackles wont unbolt from the brackets nor will the leaf's unbolt from the shackles

Does Tuff Country make good lift kits? They had one featured in "Four Wheeler" (sept 2001) issue, page 34 for $240. Is this any good? Funny thing they dont show all of it or is it for the front or rear and not both?

Anybody have any rear shacles for sale? I need them badly!!
These are not cooperating and I'm already getting new hardware.

Thanks guys.

Re: Aww crap!

you need the whole thing or just the swivel parts? I have them but wouldn't know how to get them off with out damaging them.

Re: Aww crap!

What are the swivel parts your referring to? I just got the rear leaf brackets off the frame, I might be able to save the shackles, but need a new bushing kit after all the torch work

Re: Aww crap!

You need the whole assembly that bolt to frame and the shackle its self? Mine would need new soft parts any ways. Again I dont know how to easily remove the rivets. ORD makes a shackle flip that would replace yours. Gives you 4" of lift and better articulation, they also move the spring forward to comphensate for drive shaft angle. Maybe something for you to try. http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/shacklekit.htm
