Lift kit choices for IFS Chevy 88 an newer

The choices seem to be endless for Chevy 4x4`s 1988 and newer.

BDS
RCD
CST
RANCHO
SUPER LIFT
SKYJACKER
EXPLORER PROCOMP
TRAILMASTER
WHIPLASH
FULL THROTTLE
FABTECH
ROUGH COUNTRY
TUFF COUNTRY

And I`m sure I have missed a few more.(off the wall brands sold only by one place like 4 Wheel parts wholesalers)

I know from personal experience that rough country is a waste of time and money.
, And I`ve not heard anything good about whiplash.

What are your personal experiences on any of the others? And where is a good place to buy online(if you bought online, what kind of service if you get?)

I like Dick Cepek which you left out. Give them a call 915-263-0696. I like them the best.

Just my .02 worth!

Imm not sure but I think fabtech only does 2wheel drive lifts for the 88 and up chevys,
I wish they made a 4by lift, unless theve recently added the 4bys to there line up

so you may have to knock them off your list???

Fabtech does now offer kits for 4wd Chevrolet's. I believe they have a 6" kit available for the '99 and newer C/K trucks.

I left Dick Cepek out due to the fact I was told they were out of biz. And I could not find then on the web, So I assumed that it was true.

And Fabtech has a 6" lift for the new style GM trucks, and I`ve also heard that one for the 88-98 is in the works.

Thing about these lifts is that if you ask 10 people their opinion then you will get 10 answers. Go to one shop in town and they only sell and install Rancho, Trailmaster and they hate Skyjacker. Go to a different shop and they only sell Skyjacker and hate Trailmaster. You get my point? Personally I love Skyjacker. They are a little more involved when installing than say a Rancho but they are great solid kits. Ranchos new 1 piece subframe kits are about the easiest to install and are pretty sturdy.
