Rear Add-A-Leaf

Hello all, I am in search of a 1-2" of more lift out of the rear of my 95 2wd fullsize. I have 3" blocks in there and don't want 4" or 5". I was thinking about an add-a-leaf setup. Anyone know of a good kit? I thought Off Road Design had one but didn't see it on there site. Anyway, I am selling the truck so I don't want to get into the whole shackle reversal and all that I had arleady planeed once before.

Re: Rear Add-A-Leaf

I know AJMBlazer has a set of those 0-rate add-a-leaves... I'm pretty sure he'll chime in with the link to them. I think I remember him actually doing a post about them a few months ago...

I've got a pair of Pro-Comp add-a-leaves for my Tahoe. I would reccomend them, but I haven't gotten around to installing them yet.

Re: Rear Add-A-Leaf

I checked out the Pro-Comps on Summit's site and it doesn't list the 2wd as an application. Just the K1500. Are the springs the same in the 2wd and the 4wd? The 1.5-2.5" spring is perfect.

I might have a set of add-a-leafs in my Cepek kit. They would be brand new and never used or planned on being used. I'll check and get back to you.

Re: Rear Add-A-Leaf

I'm not sure. If you want, go measure your leaf springs (width and length of the longest leaf) I can go compare it to mine. But...I'd be willing to bet they're interchangeable. Why would Chevy put different springs on a 4wd truck? Doesn't seem cost efficient.

Re: Rear Add-A-Leaf

If they the same then I would be happy to take them off your hands for a small fee. What height are they? Arent they made for a Suburban so wouldn't they be slightly heavier? Thats what I am looking for, something to keep my trucks but from sagging down when loaded. I am looking for 2-3"

Re: Rear Add-A-Leaf

Mine are approx. 64" from eye to eye (couldn't measure the arch to well). And 2.5" wide.

Re: Rear Add-A-Leaf

OK, the add-a-leaf is approximately 2.5" wide and 50" long. I know it'll fit in your pack of leaf springs...it isn't rocket science, lol. The width is right, the center bolt should be right, only thing that may be off is the arch. That isn't a big deal. And if it's too long, just cut a little off the ends. I'd give Pro Comp a call...but I'm 99% sure it'll work just fine for you.

EDIT: it's only 50 bucks from Summit, what can you lose? =)

Re: Rear Add-A-Leaf

I will look and see if they were in the kit. It should not make a big difference Burban or Truck. Usually the part numbers are the same on all of the kits.
