I think i found a parts blazer

While on delivery the other day, I spotted a mid 70s blazer with 500 acrossed the windshield. I am pretty sure that it is for sale. It appears to have a 205 Tcase, but the rear driveshaft is missing. The front axle has lockout hubs and the front driveshaft is present. Western PA has caused pretty severe rot in all of the usual places and probably quite a few of the unusual ones. If i get a chance i will post what type of axles etc. Provided everything is in working order $500 would be a decent deal for a solid drivetrain?

Re: I think i found a parts blazer

Well. A month ago I bought a 1978 blazer had been sitting for 6 years. i found the owner, asked how much,"a hundred bucks" . I gave him the cash right there. and went to get it the next day. A battery, dumped some gas down it, and it started in 5 turns.Drove it on the trailer and took it to my shop for ispection. He didnt know what he had. He said it was his uncle, but he died and noone touched it. It had a 454, TH400,205, 60 front, 14bolt rear. Took the motor out and sold the rolling chassis with a rotbox body for $500 . Tore the motor down,it had headwork, edelbrock intake and carb, and you could still see the honemarks in the cylinder bores from a rebuild. I think it was the deal of the century.

Soon to be 1976 chev K-30, 427,t400,203,D60F,14Br,4.56
