How much could I get for a used Whipple?

My dad wants to pull the whipple off his 98 sierra w/vortec 5.7 He is only tired of paying for premium and wants to salvage mileage as well. He never uses the extra power so its useless to have. It has about 20k miles on it. What could I get for this? (complete unit, ready to install w/all electronics/fuel pump/etc.)

could it work on a TBI motor????????. I say a grand wouldnt be to far off, I think there running right at 3500 new if I remember right? i thought with the whipple the mileage would be better since you wouldnt have to be in the trhottle as much to go the same as it was stock?

Re: How much could I get for a used Whipple?

no its worse, theres a second fuel pump. more gas required to balance the increase in air

if it will fit my '97 with the 5.0L I'll take it if the price is right! How much do you want? How much of an increase in HP and TQ did it make, and where did it make it (low rpm's, high rpm's, or all throughout).

the whipple increases power by I think 45 -50% and the increase is from idle to redline, so power is gained every were just imagine putting your foot into 320 plus horses from a stop sign, and with low gears, he he

the whipples waht Ive always wanted
