temp guage, whats wrong?

My temp guage is going all over the place, where does it plug it? could it have come out? where do i check?

1977 fullsize pickup,350ci. edelbrock carb, headers, oversize radiator, 4sp SM465/NP-205, 12bolt, 6" lift, 35" tires, cd deck, 2 amps, Bazzookas, 2 gas tanks

Plugs into the side of the drivers side head. There is a single wire running to a connection post on the screw-in temp sensor.

You either have a bad connection (loose corroded what ever) or it is shorted out on the manifold.

Mine is doing the same thing. I have just been too lazy to fix it.

my temp sending unit went bad. It cost about 8 bucks and is pretty easy to replace.

pics of the V30 which is still for sale or possible trade.
