Help me pick out a locker

I have recently installed a dana 60 front axle in my 84 chevy and need some advice on which locker I should put in it. I had a welded 10 bolt in it before and although it would go really good I didn't like the hard steering. I am kinda leaning toward an ARB but keep hearing stories about the seals leaking air. Has anyone had personal experience with this. I have a detroit in the 14 bolt in the rear. I ride mostly in mud and dirt hills - no rocks. Have lockouts and twin shifter on 205. I know I don't want to weld this axle but would consider a lock right or detroit. What are you guys running and what do you feel are the pros and cons of what you have. Thanks, StevenJ

i'd hold off (if possible) for the ox locker to come out. one for the d60 is on it's way.

The D60 front diff is the same on all 3 makes isn't it? if so then the dodge one would work with the chevy. the only mod might have to be a longer cable.

pics of the V30 which is still for sale or possible trade.

Re: Help me pick out a locker

I"ve got the old detroit in my truck...rear axle though...and i don;t know how in the hell i ever drove without it. i put way more miles on road than i do off, but i love it to death. now in evasive driving situations i can accelerate out of danger. when that baby locks up it'll push you straigh unlessyou counter steer. after about 300miles of driving you get used to it and you'll never want to go back. great product IMO. i don;t know much about the front though since I"ve got IFS...damn engineers...give it some time and some of the other fellas will drop some advice
