purple power

has anyone ever heard of using purple power or purple stuff in cleaning out their radiator? the parts guy, said that's what he uses. he says put about a quart in run it several hours and drain, and it's clean? so what's ya'lls opinion?

Here's my .02 worth. If it needs cleaning, take the radiator out and have it rodded out. Should be in the 40.00 range. Replace the coolant with a 50/50 mix (I use De-ionized water from work)and be done with it. That should be good to go for at least 50k miles min. plus you get max flow out of your radiator.
