Wheel & Tire Question

I want to put on 33 by 12.5 tires on my tahoe and i can get the 350 bucks i need to get the tires but don't have enough to wheels at the same time. So my question is can i put the 33's on the stock rims for the short term, without killing the tires.

Re: Wheel & Tire Question

The 33's will mount just fine. I had 33x12.50 mounted to the stock rims on my '97 ZR2. I believe the rim was 15"x7.25" with like 5 1/4" backspacing. You should have an 8" rim on your truck.

Re: Wheel & Tire Question

its a 16x7" rim and yes they will be ok for now. might have to run a little less air pressure to keep them from crowning but wont be too bad. i assume youre talking about some 305/70/16s?? ryanb had them on his stock rims on his 92sport and had no problems about em

Re: Wheel & Tire Question

I had a 2" Performance Accessories Body lift and I tweaked the torsion bars a little. Was minimal rubbing at times but nothing that ever did any damage and I had it that way for about 2 years until I got rid of it.
